Welcome to the Nashville Film Festival. This year our festival is filled with great delights - wonderful performances, free events, and lots of fun - as well as workshops, master classes and informative demonstrations.
It is a special year for us, one in which we have focused on the Nashville Film Festival mission not only to bring nationally and internationally renowned artists into our midst, but to give back to the community through free events and community partnerships designed to showcase local artists.
The Nashville Film Festival is set to enrapture festival lovers once again. Our venue will leave you fascinated, captivated and enthralled. With performances ranging from classic to contemporary, traditional to avant-garde, each act will inspire you to greater heights.
Nashville Film Festival Founded in 1969, the Nashville Film Festival (NFF) is now one of America's longest-running film festivals. Hosted by Regal Cinemas 16, in Nashville's Green Hills area, the festival has grown in just over three decades to become the arts event in Tennessee, with 15,000 attending almost every year. With annual submissions of over 1000 feature films whittled down to 200, there is plenty for the film lover. Music in films and local filmmaking are given a special focus and the festival ends with an awards ceremony and closing night gala. In conjunction with the First Amendment Center, the NFF gives the Freedom in Film Award to a filmmaker or artist who exemplifies the spirit of the First Amendment, in the past including Robert Redford, Susan Sarandon, Harry Belafonte and independent filmmaker Charles Burnett.
